Binaural Beats

Binaural beats were originally discovered in 1839 by German experimenter H. W. Dove. Since then, studies have proven that presenting a binaural beat will cause the brain to be aligned with the frequency of that beat. This is called the Frequency Following Response and was researched and tested in 1973 by biophysicist Gerald Oster at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. His research on binaural beats and the frequency following response was published in Scientific American. Since that time, binaural beat technology has been approved by many doctors and scientists around the world.

Binaural Beats in History

Sound has always played an important role in healing and spiritual practices. Examples include drumming, chanting, and the advanced use of sound by Atlantean healers. Shamans, healers, monks, Yogis, and others have long understood the value of repetitive beats or chanting to induce healing and higher levels of consciousness.
